Please pray for all of the students as we prepare to go out and do what God has called us to do. Please pray for all of those who live in Juarez and El Paso. Please pray for the members of the LCI team; those men and women who have given their lives to God to do His work in these cities.

Pray that we will be challenged in all ways. Pray that God will push us to our limits, break us, mold us, change us, and teach us to show His love - not only on this mission trip, but also in our daily lives. That's the true challenge, isn't it. It's easy (sort of) to go to another part of the world and work in God's name, love the people, be spiritually lifted, etc., but it is so much harder to translate that back into our normal lives.

This trip is God's. There has been many bumps and bruises, misunderstandings, and mistakes during the planning process. There have also been many blessings, provisions, and moments where God has reached out and said, "It's okay. You are mine. I love you. I will take care of you. But you gotta trust me." So that's what happened. We trusted. And now we are here. We are six days and a couple of flights away. It's been God's plan all along. And we trust in Him.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace  that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,  he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ."
Ephesians 1: 3-10
